Olympic Gold medalist Monique Lamoureux-Morando to join NHL Network as an on-air analyst

Three-time Olympian, Monique Lamoureux-Morando, won her first Olympic gold with Team USA at Pyeongchang in February 2018. Monique scored the game-tying goal in the final and her twin sister, Jocelyne Lamoureux-Davidson, tallied the game-winning shootout goal.

The sisters later appeared on NHL Network’s NHL Now show to discuss their incredible experience at the Winter Olympics. On Wednesday, NHL Network announced that they were adding Monique Lamoureux-Morando as a permanent studio analyst.

In a press release from the NHL, Lamoureux-Morando had the following to say about her new gig.

“I am very excited and thankful for the opportunity to be part of NHL Network’s team of expert analysts,” Lamoureux-Morando said. “I’m looking forward to sharing my perspective and passion for the game with hockey fans around the world.”

Lamoureux-Morando will make her debut on NHL Tonight with Kevin Weekes and Tony Luftman on Friday, March 23. She will also appear on programming across the network.

In addition to representing Team USA, Lamoureux-Morando also played for the Boston Blades during the CWHL’s 2014-15 season and the Minnesota Whitecaps between 2015 and 2017. She also served as a color commentator for Team USA broadcasts in the 2015 U-18 IIHF Women’s World Ice Hockey Championship, as well as for the University of North Dakota during the 2015-16 and 2016-17 NCAA Women’s hockey seasons.
