Deal with Qatar to keep Metro open an hour longer for Game Four falls through

On Tuesday, ahead of the Capitals Game Three clash with the Lightning at Capital One Arena, it was announced that Qatar had agreed to foot a $100,000 bill in order to keep the Metro open one hour longer on Thursday for Game Four.

That deal now appears to be off, according to NBC Washington’s Adam Tuss, who spoke to a Metro source.

According to that source, no money had been exchanged to facilitate the hour-long extension to the Metro service.

Welp. Who’s going to step up?
