Lacey Eden and Hayley Scamurra helped the Washington Mystics merge hoops and hockey on Monday for their Hockey Crossover Night.
The 2025 IIHF women’s World Championship gold medalists and teammates attended the Mystics’ game against the Indiana Fever, and were available for a meet and greet autograph session before tipoff.
The pregame session was an exclusive event and part of a special Hockey Crossover Night ticket offer. Fans who bought the specialty ticket package received admission to the meet-and-greet and a “Mystics Crossover Hockey Jersey.”
While the Mystics were giving away hockey jerseys to fans, they provided customized basketball jerseys for Eden and Scamurra.
Scamurra’s gold medal from her recent 2026 Olympic win with Team USA was also in the house.
Eden and Scamurra enjoyed the game court side and posed for a picture with Mystics’ 2025 first-round pick, Georgia Amoore, after the game.

Both players have ties to the DC hockey community. Eden, a four-time NCAA champion (the only player to achieve that feat) and projected top-10 pick in the upcoming PWHL draft, is a Maryland native who got her hockey start with the Washington Little Caps. Scamurra, who recently became a Walter Cup champion with the Montreal Victoire, is the daughter of former Capitals defender Peter Scamurra. Peter played 132 games with Washington between 1975 and 1980
The Capitals Youth Ice Hockey Development Mites on Ice were also at the game, swapping the ice for court and playing floor hockey during halftime.

Washington Capitals goaltender Logan Thompson previously repped the red Hockey Crossover Mystics jersey to help promote the event.
Hockey and basketball fans alike were treated to an exciting game in one of the Mystics’ biggest matchups of the season, with Caitlin Clark helping the Fever squeak out a tight 78-76 win, hitting a long three-pointer with 1.2 seconds remaining.
“@caitlinclark22 is her,” Eden posted to her Instagram Story.
