Ivan Miroshnichenko debuted a new all white hockey stick on January 2 against the Minnesota Wild.
According to NHL.com’s Tom Gulitti, the 20-year-old forward ordered the twigs while he was playing for the AHL’s Hershey Bears and they arrived as the calendar year flipped to 2025.
“Maybe I score more goals,” Miroshnichenko told Gulitti.
Per Gear Geek, the CCM stick brand is a Ribcor Trigger 9 Pro North, a light-colored design that follows in the footsteps of CCM’s JetSpeed FT5 Pro North.

Miroshnichenko may have been inspired to go this route after seeing former teammate Anthony Mantha’s sticks when the two played together in Washington. Mantha used all-white twigs during his time with the Capitals and has been one of the rare players to do so lately in the NHL.

In Calgary this year, Mantha used Warrior’s Novium 2 sticks that featured mostly white graphics before suffering a season-ending injury.
The most prominent NHL player to use Miroshnichenko’s new Ribcor Trigger 9 Pro North is fellow Russian Mikhail Sergachev, a defenseman for the Utah Hockey Club. The Chicago Blackhawks’ Wyatt Kaiser also sports the unusual twigs.
Miroshnichenko still appears to be using Alex Ovechkin’s highly-curved, banana-like blade. So far, in two games, he’s yet to score.

Earlier this season, Miroshnichenko played with a CCM Jetspeed FT7 Pro before making the switch over.

Last year, Miroshnichenko started his rookie campaign in North America playing with Alex Ovechkin’s Jetspeed and Ribcor sticks from CCM. By season’s end, Miroshnichenko used Ovechkin’s custom twigs that had red branding instead of green and featured Ovi’s no. 8 logo.
