The Washington Capitals are hosting the New Jersey Devils for the second time this season, and they hope this game goes better than the first. New Jersey spoiled Washington’s home opener in October, but the Capitals returned the favor in Newark a week later.
New Jersey has won seven of their last 10 games and is coming off a 4-2 victory against the Carolina Hurricanes on Thursday night. Washington dropped their last outing 2-1 to the Colorado Avalanche.
Ivan Miroshnichenko will make his season debut on the Capitals’ top line in the matchup. Miroshnichenko gets the assignment and sends Jakub Vrana to the press box. Andrew Mangiapane will return to his regular spot on the team’s third line.
