Washington Capitals to feature in 13 national TV games during the 2024-25 season

The NHL released the television broadcasting schedule of its national partners for the 2024-25 season on Thursday.

The Washington Capitals will play on national TV 13 times this season, making their first appearance on ESPN and ESPN+ when they face the Philadelphia Flyers on October 22 for their fifth game of the season.

Four of the games will air on ESPN, five will air on TNT, and two will air on ABC. ESPN+ is set to broadcast five games, with two also airing on Hulu.

The local broadcast schedule on Monumental Sports Network will be available at a later date.

Alongside the national broadcast schedule, the Caps announced five games have moved time slot: October 29 versus the New York Rangers (from 7 to 7:30 pm), November 8 versus the Pittsburgh Penguins (from 7 to 7:30 pm), February 22 at Pittsburgh (from 1 to 3 pm), April 10 versus the Carolina Hurricanes (from 7 to 7:30 pm) and April 15 at the New York Islanders (from 7:30 to 8 pm).

ESPN’s family of networks will broadcast a total of 100 regular-season games across the league, while TNT will broadcast 59 regular-season games. The Caps are tied for the eighth-most national broadcasts in the United States.

Washington Capitals 2024-25 National TV Broadcast Schedule

ARLINGTON, Va. – The Washington Capitals will have 13 nationally televised games during the 2024-25 season, the National Hockey League announced today. The broadcast schedule includes five games on TNT, two games on ABC and four games on ESPN. In addition, five of Washington’s games will also be available on ESPN+, while two will be available on Hulu.

In addition to the broadcast schedule the Capitals announced five time changes from the original schedule: Oct. 29 versus the New York Rangers (from 7 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.), Nov. 8 versus Pittsburgh (from 7 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.), Feb. 22 at Pittsburgh (from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.), April 10 versus Carolina (from 7 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.) and April 15 at the New York Islanders (from 7:30 p.m. to 8 p.m.).
