ARLINGTON, VA — With training camp just weeks away, the Capitals’ informal skates have continued to ramp up. Taylor Raddysh took the ice at MedStar Capitals Iceplex, joining Hershey Bears forward Bogdan Trineyev among the newest additions to the practices.
Raddysh, 26, signed a one-year, $1 million deal with the Caps this offseason, becoming one of seven players acquired by Washington in less than two weeks. He recorded 14 points (5g, 9a) in 73 games for the Chicago Blackhawks in 2023-24.
Trineyev put up a strong performance with the Hershey Bears last postseason, serving on the fourth line during the team’s successful Calder Cup run. Both he and Raddysh will look to fill the same open spot on the fourth line following the departure of Beck Malenstyn.
With Andrew Mangiapane set to wear no. 88 for the Caps this season, Trineyev has swapped numbers, sporting no. 87 on the ice Thursday.

The two players join John Carlson, Alex Alexeyev, Matt Roy, Logan Thompson, Pierre-Luc Dubois, Jakob Chychrun, Dylan Strome, Aliaksei Protas, and Jakub Vrana who all are already in town ahead of training camp in mid-September. Former Capitals including Nick Jensen, Anthony Mantha, Nicolas Aube-Kubel, and Lars Eller have also skated with the group.
A bigger group of Capitals players are expected to return to DC after the Labor Day holiday.
