Sergei Ovechkin meets little brother Ilya for the first time

Nastya Ovechkina gave birth to the Ovechkin’s second child on Wednesday, a 8 lbs, 6 oz. boy they named Ilya.

On Thursday, Nastya documented the first meeting between big brother Sergei and little brother Ilya.

One-year-old Sergei can be seen reaching out and touching the newborn baby’s hand. He flashes a big smile.

A few minutes later, Ovi posted a photo of his own on his Instagram page.

“@nastyashubskaya, our happiness is with you and our kids, who are together for the first time in this photo❤️” Ovechkin wrote. “Our everything, our life … thank you my dear for our sons !!! I love you very much !!! I am the most lucky here🙏🏻🙏 🏻❤️❤️❤️”

The post comes after several teammates and wives reached out to the family to congratulate them on their new bundle of joy. Tom Wilson took to Instagram to wish the happy couple well, posting a photo from their recent trip to Mexico together.

“Thank you guys. See you soon,” Nastya responded.

Meanwhile, Varvara Orlova posted an unseen photo of Nastya with baby Ilya, congratulating her in Russian.
