Flyers’ Gritty is ‘STILL NOT BORED’ after finding fun in trick shots

Flyers’ mascot Gritty told fans “I’m lonely” in a ridiculous letter he penned in mid-March when the coronavirus pandemic first started.

Since then, the scary-looking mascot, who was cleared of an assault accusation in February and enjoys eating penguins, has still managed to stay busy.

Wednesday, Gritty released a short video showing what he’s been up to… trick shots!

Using household items, Gritty sits in a corner and bounces a ping pong ball into a red cup.

It’s reminiscent of Samuel Grubbs’s viral trick shot homage to Roundball Rock.

While Gritty found fun, he better be careful with the red cups. That’s totally Slapshot’s thing and it might make things awkward at the next mascot outing.
