Digi Nic Dowd makes real-life wife Paige ‘proud’ after scoring in Capitals’ 6-1 win over Rangers

The Washington Capitals won their second straight simulation game at Digital Capital One Arena, shellacking the New York Rangers 6-1. The NHL20 telecast replaced the real-life Capitals-Rangers game which was canceled due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Digi Nicklas Backstrom started the scoring (again), scoring his fourth goal in two games, while Digi Garnet Hathaway, Digi Evgeny Kuznetsov, and Digi TJ Oshie (2) added tallies.

Digi Nic Dowd also scored. The fourth-line center intercepted a defenseman’s shot from the point and lobbed the puck into the back of the net. “Proud of you,” Paige Dowd, Nic’s wife, said on Twitter laughing.

The Capitals have now scored 11 goals so far and none of them have been by Alex Ovechkin.

Very realistic. Just like Nic Dowd’s face.
