It’s Monday and the New York Islanders are in town to kick off the week. Lines have been shifted a smidge for the Capitals, including the healthy scratch of Radko Gudas. Hopefully shifting some lines will help the team click a little better. Oh, and hopefully they never have another game like the last one, but I like to think if we never talk about it again it basically didn’t happen.
7 PM is puck drop and Peter has your recap. Do some voodoo to get Alex Ovechkin to 700 goals tonight.

Beautiful Game
Um, actually, hockey is a very complex and graceful sport.

Storylines
- The Nats’ promo schedule is here! Mark your calendars for some important giveaways.
- Again, let’s not talk about what happened last game, but the good news is that Martin Fehervary scored his first NHL point! Every cloud has a silver lining!
- Justice for Braden Holtby.
- We finally had a conversation about the third jerseys.
- The Oshie family is having another baby and their baby shower was, of course, beautifully styled and complete with beer chugging out of baby bottles.
- The Orlando Solar Bears just made the jersey of my dreams.
- The game this evening is on national TV. Everyone is trying to watch Alex Ovechkin reach 700 goals, but I also just like to think everyone loves the Capitals. They should.
- Star Wars Night. Enough said.
Sex Education
My recent Netflix binge was a show called “Sex Education”. It’s a super sweet show about these teenagers navigating the world of….being teens! There are a bunch of storylines I found myself relating to and the cast is too cute. Gillian Anderson is in it, if you need an extra incentive. I am now very excited because they just announced a season three and I want it yesterday. Give it a whirl.
