The Capitals are still on the road and are making a stop in Columbus to face off against the Blue Jackets. If this feels familiar, it’s because this matchup literally just happened last week. The last game between these two ended up with a 5-2 Jackets win, snapping the Capitals’ six game win streak. Here’s hoping for another road win for the Capitals and the beginning of a new streak!
We’re stickin’ with the usual 7PM puck drop and Peter will have your recap.

Elyse’s Favorite Reads of 2019
I read a bunch this year, but it’s never as much as I really wanted. Looking forward to setting a bigger goal for next year and start using my Goodreads account more often. At any rate, here are some of my favorite things I read this year. Always taking suggestions!
- Normal People by Sally Rooney: This was a quick read about the two main characters kinda circling each other through life. I liked finishing the book and talking to people about the story and the characters that Rooney created. We all had different opinions and I love anything that creates a conversation.
- The Nightingale by Kristin Hannah: It’s a book about two sisters in France during WWII. I cried on the train finishing this book. It killed me, but I loved it.
- Bad Blood: Secrets and Lies in a Silicon Valley Startup by John Carreyrou: I felt like I was one of the last people to read this book. I love a good scam and I LOVE the story of Elizabeth Holmes/Theranos. It is such a beautiful story about rich and powerful people aren’t always very smart!
I’m mainly using this section as an excuse to give my favorite author a shout out. Happy Birthday, Jane Austen!
