The Washington Nationals have forced a Game 7 in the World Series after losing three consecutive games at home. The road team has improbably won every game of the World Series thus far – a new MLB record.
Stephen Strasburg pitched eight and a third innings and gave up two earned runs while striking out seven.
After Anthony Rendon plated Trea Turner in the first inning to give the Nats a 1-0 lead, the Astros responded back with two runs of their own. The go-ahead run was a solo shot by Alex Bregman.

The Nationals struck back in the fifth inning at the same time Alex Ovechkin won the game for the Washington Capitals 1,550 miles north in Toronto, Canada.

A few batters later, Juan Soto hit a solo dinger of his own to give the Nats a 3-2 lead.

Soto carried his bat to first base to troll Bregman.
Alex Bregman did it first… Juan Soto did it right back 👀

Still stunned at the fact that Juan Soto had the wherewithal to think "If I hit a monster home run here, in Game 6 of the World Series, when I am 21 years old, then I must carry the bat all the way to first to troll Bregman." Like, some things the rest of us just can't plan for.

Then it was Antony Rendon time. The Nationals’ third baseman drove in four runs total in the seventh and ninth innings.

He had five total RBI’s in the game.
Sean Doolittle got the final two outs.
There was some controversy in the game. Trea Turner was called out for runner interference in the seventh inning as he reached first base.

Nationals manager Davey Martinez, who recently had a heart procedure, got thrown out for arguing the call. The Nationals tried to protest the game, but could not due to it being a judgment call.

Max Scherzer will take the mound against Zack Greinke for Game Seven. Back at home, the Nationals will be hosting a watch party at Nats Park Wednesday night.
LET’S GO NATS! Win it for Cara! (Thank you for turning me into a Nationals fan.)
