Capitals players congratulate Washington Nationals on clinching World Series appearance

Everyone knows by now, unless you’ve been living under a rock, the Washington Nationals have officially made it to the World Series. They will play for the title against the winner of the ALCS between Houston Astros and New York Yankees.

Early Wednesday morning, many Capitals players, including TJ Oshie, Tom Wilson, and John Carlson, tweeted out congratulations to their favorite local baseball team on Twitter.

Meanwhile, the Capitals organization posted a video.

And Captain had some nice things to say.

Monumental Sports & Entertainment owner Ted Leonsis, who was at Game Three (see below), was especially happy for the Lerner family, whom he is close to.

The radio voice of the Capitals, John Walton, was even at the game himself.

Despite being a member of the Panthers organization, former Capital Brett Connolly sent out a shoutout to the Nats as well.

Many DC Sports personalities made sure to show their support on social media for the team too, including Redskins running back Derrius Guice, Mystics coach Mike Thibault, DC United, and movie star Dave Bautista.

RMNB is not associated with the Washington Capitals; Monumental Sports, the NHLPA, the NHL, or its properties. Not even a little bit.
