The St. Louis Blues tugged at everyone’s heartstrings on Tuesday. A day after the players and coaches received their Stanley Cup championship rings, a very special delivery was made to a very special fan. 

Laila Anderson, the Blues fan that captured hearts everywhere during the playoffs last season, received her own special Cup ring. A bonus: every ring displays her name inside the band.

In a video posted by the Blues, players Alex Steen and Colton Parayko are seen surprising Laila at her house and hand-deliver her ring.

“So you know how much you mean to us, right?” Steen starts off asking Laila. “And what an inspiration you have been to so many people. So me and Colton are here representing our organization and everyone there and we have something we would like you to open right now.”

As Steen hands Laila the box, she exclaims that the box looks familiar to her. She starts crying as she opens it, barely managing to say “oh my god” a few times. After being prompted by Parayko, she says, “I feel like I shouldn’t be touching this right now,” while wiping away some tears.

Before the end of the video, Steen makes a joke about the poor guy that is going to propose to Laila one day. “Sorry”, she responded while laughing. “Until then, this will do.”

After Steen points out her imprinted name on the inside, Laila tried on the Blues’ ring–her ring–and kisses the face of the ring. While her mom joked that the ring covered her whole hand, when asked how it fit, Laila’s answer was, “beautifully.”
