Just in time for Spooky Season, hockey equipment company CCM has released a new commercial for their Super Tacks AS2 Pro stick.

And who better to showcase its “scary powerful” capabilities than Capitals captain Alex Ovechkin, who has a scary powerful one-timer.

The commercial opens at the St. James and focuses on a hyperventilating goalie. Thunder and lightning rumbles overhead. Ovechkin blinks in-and-out of reality as he skates down the ice — and god help all the other teams in the NHL if that’s a new skill Ovi acquired during the offseason.

The goalie gets tenser. And then he wakes up. “It was just a dream,” he says to himself. Relieved he falls back to his pillow.

AND OH MY GOD ALEX OVECHKIN IS IN HIS ROOM.

“Go back to sleep,” he whispers to the tormented goalie.

Did CCM direct this or Wes Craven?

Yeah, we’re definitely not going to be dreaming about this tonight. At all.
