Tom Wilson recently shot a commercial for the DC Metro, which promotes vigilance among passengers. In his promotion of the 30-second clip on social media, Wilson gave a ridiculous shoutout to TJ Oshie for the forward’s viral trip on the Metrorail during the 2018 Stanley Cup Final.
“Thanks to @tjoshie7 for lending me the keys to his gameday ride,” Wilson joked on Instagram.
Some of my favorite comments on Tom’s post include:
(Sorry I had to like that one, it was too good.)
What is a GWagon tho?
Oshie famously rode the Metro during Games Three and Four of the 2018 Stanley Cup Final to avoid traffic and street closures coming into the city ahead of games.
Matt Niskanen joined him on the trip.
Though ahead of Game Four, Oshie did not have enough Metro fare to get through the gates, needing a Metro employee to assist him.
Now hopefully Tom gives TJ his keys back once he finally gets back from Lake Tahoe.
