In a release from the team, the Capitals have announced some notable dates for their 2019 preseason.
From September 5-10, the Caps will once again be participating in a rookie tournament, this time hosted by the Predators in Nashville, Tennessee. Previous tournaments have been held in Florida, with rookies from the Capitals, Predators, and Panthers participating.
The roster of rookies participating in the tournament is still TBA.
Capitals Training Camp opens on September 12, with on-ice sessions beginning on September 13. The team’s first preseason game is on September 16 at home against the Chicago Blackhawks. View the entire preseason schedule here.
The Caps kick off their 2019-20 regular season schedule on October 2 in St. Louis against the reigning Stanley Cup Champion Blues, with their home opener on October 5 vs. the Carolina Hurricanes.
