This year, the summer of Ovi has included wakeskating, some father-son time, flyboarding, a blowup doll, the Champions League Final, and an appearance at a chess tournament. But now, it will begin taking a more serious tone.
That’s because Alex Ovechkin has begun training for next season. Ovechkin’s personal trainer Pavel announced the news in an Instagram video of the pair going for a run together. He captioned the video “#trainingcamp.”

Ovechkin can be seen giving the shaka sign 🤙 as Pavel focuses his camera on him. The two appear to be running on a mountain trail in Italy, where Ovechkin and his family are vacationing at a resort.
The future Hall of Famer has bucked the aging curve by scoring 49 or more goals in five of his last six years. We’ll see if he can do it again in his age 34 season.
