Ovechkin and his friends are playing a charades game called Who’s The Dude?, which features a red-haired, sunglasses-wearing blowup doll named The Dude. You make gestures with the blow-up doll to try and get your friends to guess a certain word.
Ovi, who is very competitive in this video, has The Dude do headstands and make exaggerated hand gestures. My best guess is he’s illustrating Jakub Vrana during the 2017-18 season trying to get playing time from Barry Trotz.
Ovechkin isn’t the only Caps Russian who has played the game. Evgeny Kuznetsov took a photo with The Dude on New Year’s Day 2018.
