Alex Ovechkin’s seemingly never-ending summer vacation continued on Wednesday as the future Hall of Famer tried his luck wakeskating.
And I’m here to inform him, he should probably stick to his day job. 😂
He’s got it. He’s doing his thing. And oH nOoOo. Wipeout.
The NHL was not impressed.
🤣🤣🤣@ovi8 getting loose on a wakeskate is the best thing you'll see all day! (🎥 IG/nastyashubskaya) pic.twitter.com/TPJJQWaH8Q

Ovechkin posted the video on his own Instagram account and added the caption in Russian, “Good enough for the first try))) 😂 especially in the end.”
Nastya Ovechkina did post a successful attempt where Ovi was switching hands and riding the waves perfectly.
Ovi’s aquatic adventure likely took place somewhere off the shores of Italy. The family was there Tuesday for the Palio di Siena, a horse race in Siena, Italy. According to Wikipedia, 10 horses and riders, bareback and dressed in the appropriate colors represent 10 of the 17 city wards.
They got there via helicopter.
Ovechkin’s summer vacation so far has included trying to teach his son how to walk, flyboarding, playing cherades with a blowup doll, matching outfits with Sergei, attending the Champions League Final, and appearing at a chess tournament.
