The Washington Capitals have signed what appears to be their final player on Free Agent Frenzy day. The Capitals have agreed to terms with forward Brendan Leipsic.
“We have one more coming,” general manager Brian MacLellan said during an afternoon press conference. “Brendan Leipsic. We agreed to terms with him today.”
The Capitals’ Mike Vogel first tweeted the news.
Expect the #Caps to sign winger Brendan Leipsic to a one-year deal as a UFA.

Leipsic is a left-wing formerly of the Los Angeles Kings. In 62 NHL games last season, Leipsic had seven goals and 23 points. The 25-year-old forward has played parts of three NHL seasons with four different teams, including the Toronto Maple Leafs, the Vegas Golden Knights, the Vancouver Canucks, and the Kings.
According to Vogel, Leipsic will get a look on the team’s fourth line next season.
Word on Leipsic's deal with the #Caps: it's a one-way, one-year deal for $700K. Leipsic and Hathaway certainly give the team's fourth line a fresh new look, flanking Nic Dowd.
