• Steven Kampfer (30 years, 272 days) is the oldest Bruins player to score his first career playoff goal since Steve Begin (31 years, 321 days) in 2010.
• The Bruins scored two third period goals in a span of 11 seconds, tied for the franchise’s third fastest pair of goals in a playoff game. The only faster came in seven seconds in 1989 and nine seconds in 1975.
• The Bruins captured Game One of a conference finals for the fifth time since 1982. Since the conference format was adopted in 1982, teams that win Game One of a conference finals own an all time series record of of 46-26. The Capitals of last season were a part of that 46.
