- Pekka Rinne earned his 45th career win in the playoffs to tie Tony Esposito for 24th place on the NHL’s all-time list
- Everybody’s favorite Predators player, Filip Forsberg got on the board for the first time this postseason.
- The Preds won this game without Wayne Simmonds and Brian Boyle who are both week-to-week with injuries.
Colorado Avalanche 6, Calgary Flames 2
Colorado leads series 2-1
- Cale Makar is the seventh player in NHL history and first defenseman to make his League debut in the playoffs and score a goal.
- The Avalanche are the first team to record 56-plus shots on goal in regulation of a playoff game since the Florida Panthers on May 24, 1996.
- Matt Nieto is the second player in Avalanche/Nordiques franchise history to score a shorthanded goal in consecutive games during the playoffs, joining Andre Savard who did so in 1984.
