In Calgary on Thursday, it was sibling rivalry night as Brady Tkachuk’s Ottawa Senators took on his brother Matthew Tkachuk’s Calgary Flames.
But the real contest happened during pregame warm-up, as Brady Tkachuk was challenged by a young Sens fan…to a dance-off.
The young Sens fan’s sign read: “Hey Chuky, floss off for your stick?”
Flossing is a viral dance popularized by videogame Fortnight. Tkachuk saw the kid’s sign and challenge accepted.
The kid responded with his best moves. Check out the completely focused expression as he flosses. Kid is a pro, I wouldn’t mess with him, Brady.
Tkachuk tried again. You can only imagine what teammate Anthony Duclair is thinking looking at that attempt.
Winner: The kid! Tkachuk tossed the fan a puck (not his stick, come on, kid, he needs his stick to play) and graciously acknowledged the superior flosser with a stick tap.
Here’s the young fan cheesing with the puck. Isn’t hockey awesome?

Flossing is also a favorite of Capitals’ Jakub Vrana, who flossed at the Capitals Stanley Cup championship parade last summer and has also faced floss-off challenges from kids ever since.
