The Washington Capitals get an opportunity for a quick bounce back from their ugly defeat at the hands of the Anaheim Ducks, as they find themselves Monday night dancing with the Los Angeles Kings.
It’s a late, late one as puck drop is at 10:30 eastern. You can stream all of NBC Sports Washington’s coverage of this thing from your bed with the My Teams app. I have your late night recap because I am a degenerate.

There was no morning skate today, but we can assume Pheonix Copley will probably be in net. We also must remember that TJ Oshie left Sunday night’s game in the second period and did not return. I would wager that we definitely see these lines from the game against the Ducks change:
Ovechkin – Kuznetsov – Wilson
Vrana – Backstrom – Oshie
Burakovsky – Eller – Connolly
Jaskin – Stephenson – DSP
Kempny – Carlson
Orlov – Niskanen
Orpik – Djoos

The Caps last win in Los Angeles against the Kings came on December 14, 2005. Believe it or not, this 2005 win does not feature a goal scored by Alex Ovechkin. Defenseman Jamie Heward struck twice on the power play and Brian Sutherby added another shorthanded to down the Kings 3-2. The game also featured Kings goals from future Capital, Eric Belanger and everyone’s favorite idiot, Sean Avery.
Sunday night did not only feature a Caps loss to the Anaheim Ducks, it was also the night that the first ever WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions were crowned within the Elimination Chamber. Here’s a clip featuring the future winners, Sasha Banks and Bayley.
