The LA Kings brought some excitement into the Staples Center on Saturday. And no, we’re not talking about their opponents for the game, the Pittsburgh Penguins.
The Kings invited rapper and hockey fan Snoop Dogg. The D O Double G watched warm-ups, dropped the ceremonial puck, and gave a master class in commentary during a short visit to the broadcast booth.
Snoop may not know how to skate but he sure knows how to make skating sound fun.

His thoughts on Dion Phaneuf? “Move, Dion! Get out the way.”
A fight starts to break out? “Get it cracking then, let’s go! Snoop Dogg in the house, let me see something! Drop the sticks, man.”
He also had some ideas for the franchise:
After his media scrum, Snoop Dogg went to the Kings podium in the room where he was. Jokingly said he was the new owner of the Kings and that the team would be getting a stripper pole and a DJ in the locker room … “We’re going to be changing some shit around here”

This isn’t Snoop’s first foray into commentary. His viral animal documentary soundtracks are *chef’s kiss* beautiful.
“I’m your host with the most,” he said before signing off. Definitely the host with the most fun.
