The Capitals were beefing with Brad Marchand all night long apparently

During the Caps win against the Bruins, one couldn’t help but notice that sweet, pungent aroma of beef wafting throughout the rafters of TD Garden.

The beef was with noted pest Brad Marchand, who during the season opener, roped Lars Eller into his first ever fight.

To start, Lars tried to get back at Marchand, dropping his gloves for round two. Marchand didn’t want to fight, and Eller ended up with a penalty.

During a break in play in the third period, Tom Wilson chirped Marchand’s ear off, trying to get under his skin. Marchand skated away while downing water.

Even the soft-spoken Michal Kempny had words with Marchand, and apparently joined a long list of Caps who were miffed.

After words didn’t do the trick, the Caps started getting physical, and Brooks Orpik joined Wilson to go full Mighty Ducks Bash Brothers on the pest.

After the win, Eller and Marchand shared their thoughts on the fight that wasn’t.

Eller said there “wasn’t much integrity in his game,” while Marchand quipped “[Eller] plays maybe 10-12 minutes a night. I’m playing 20.

The Capitals next game against the Bruins is February 3 at Capital One Arena, so buckle up for more beef.
