Capitals forward Devante Smith-Pelly spent the day in DC helping distribute winter coats with the Children’s Charities Foundation’s Coats for Kids program.
DSP visited students ranging from pre-k to fifth grade at two elementary schools, Aiton Elementary School and Thompson Elementary School, where he helped the kids pick out their new winter coats.
He was welcomed to Aiton Elementary with a familiar chant, as the kids went wild for “D-S-P!”
