The Caps Canine Calendar goes on sale 10 AM Wednesday, November 21

Obviously, the best day of the year is the photoshoot for the Capitals Canine Calendar. But the second-best day is when it goes on sale and we can get our hands on it, and finally we know exactly when that will be: 10 AM on Wednesday, November 21.

Make sure to buy your copies before they sell out, either online at on the Capitals website, or in person at the team shops in Capitals MedStar Iceplex and Capital One Arena.

You can even pick up your copy during the Blackhawks game to browse through if it’s sad or boring or there’s a pause or you just feel like looking at puppies while watching the Stanley Cup Champions play hockey.

The calendar features players posing with dogs available for adoption or their own pets. They’ll cost $20, and all proceeds will go to Homeward Trails Animal Rescue.

Tom Wilson has even fostered puppies for Homeward Bound before!

The Capitals and Monumental Sports & Entertainment Foundation have raised nearly $250,000 for the nonprofit rescue since 2014. With another hot seller on the racks just in time for holiday shopping, hopefully the Caps will help many more animals find their forever homes.

As we anxiously count down to 10am tomorrow morning, you can relive the highlights of the puppy pandemonium on RMNB and check out an early look at the calendar’s contents.

RMNB is not associated with the Washington Capitals; Monumental Sports, the NHLPA, the NHL, or its properties. Not even a little bit.
