Seems that Brooks Orpik is again missing from practice. Took a maintenance day on Sunday and yesterday was a day off for the team. @JJReganNBCS tells me he was on the ice with skills coach Dwayne Blais before practice.

Orpik has played in every game to start the season (10), but has missed several practices during the month of October.
The 38-year-old defenseman also missed a Caps skate during the first week of the regular season – two days after a set of back-to-back games.

The defenseman also had to go through concussion protocol during an October 11 game after he was slew-footed by the Vegas Golden Knights’ William Carrier. He did not miss any time due to this hit.

Brooks Orpik on the William Carrier hit: "It definitely left a mark. It was more precautionary with the concussion protocol. I thought he dragged his foot a little bit. I've definitely been on the end of a lof of those so tough for me to complain."

Orpik was last seen on Sunday night at the Caps Halloween Party where he dressed up as a Ski Bro.
1:30 pm update: Head coach Todd Reirden expects Orpik to play Thursday against the Habs.
Reirden said today was a maintenance day for Orpik, and he expects him to play in Montreal.
