Evgeny Kuznetsov announced on his Instagram account that during his day with the Stanley Cup, he’ll present the Cup in Chelyabinsk at Traktor’s youth program, and then again before the friendly “Governor’s Cup” between Traktor and Metallurg.
“Hello everyone, I’m Evgeny Kuznetsov,” said the forward who likely needs no introduction.
“You’re all invited to Traktor’s children’s sports school on Savin Street on Wednesday, August 15, from 11:00 AM to 1:30 PM, where I’ll be presenting the Stanley Cup. You can take photos with me, and with the Cup.”
“Also,” continued Kuznetsov, “that evening from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Traktor Arena, before the friendly match between Traktor and Metallurg for the Governor’s Cup of Chelyabinsk Oblast, you can take photos with me and with the Stanley Cup.”
Kuznetsov was born in Chelyabinsk and played for the local KHL squad, Traktor Chelyabinsk, from 2009 until 2014, when he signed his entry level contract with the Capitals.
In addition to having played at Traktor’s arena for five years, Kuznetsov also hosted his wedding ceremnoy there in June 2011.
Kuznetsov’s anniversary celebration, normally held on June 3, was delayed slightly by the small matter of his putting up eight points in five games on the way to ultimately raising the aforementioned Cup.
