Oshie and his family posed with the mayor in the locker room of the Warroad Gardens. This is the rink where Oshie’s former high school team, Warroad High, used to play.
The mayor also gave fellow Warroad native Gigi Marvin this honor after the US women won gold in South Korea in February. Bob is Gigi’s uncle. Gigi Marvin Day was pronounced on February 8, 2018.
While at the Gardens, Oshie got a massive reception.

Just shy of 1,800 people, Warroad has a rich hockey history that few towns in the United States can match.
