Craig ‘Woody’ Leydig took the Stanley Cup out on the Chesapeake Bay for sunrise. The photos are spectacular.

Tuesday was Craig “Woody” Leydig’s day with the Stanley Cup. A native of Annapolis, Maryland, Ledig decided to show Stanley around his home town.

The day started on the Chesapeake Bay, where Ledig and his family brought the Stanley Cup out on their boat to watch the sunrise. The sight of the Stanley Cup being raised as the sun comes up over the Bay is purely breathtaking.

The Cup had previously stopped at the temporary office of the Capital Gazette, and the Annapolis City Dock.

From the water, the Cup was taken to one of the more unlikely paces you’d find a championship trophy: WAWA. No word on Stan’s preferred choice of hoagie.

Ledig also brought the Cup to first responders at the Annapolis Police and Fire Departments.

Shoppers at a local Modell’s were greeted by Stanley as they walked in.

Then the Cup payed a visit to the Naval Academy (where the Caps most recently hosted an outdoor game last March)

Finally, the Cup was paraded throughout various locations on Main Street
