Friday evening, Steve Dangle released his final Cup Check video of the season. It was an emotional and very poignant reflection on the Golden Knights’ inaugural season, the Capitals’ desperate run at the Cup, and his acknowledgement of how badly he wants that same run from his Toronto Maple Leafs.
And for those of you that did not catch our own Ian Oland‘s tweet about how he filmed his reaction to the Caps Cup win, you can find that in Steve’s video as well at the 10:20 mark.

Steve is a long time friend of RMNB and one of my very favorite people in hockey. I would fanboy meeting him just like I would fanboy meeting Michal Kempny and I love Michal Kempny. His outlook in this video really puts a nice bow on what was just an unbelievable day of hockey.
Dangle first speaks on how proud Golden Knights fans should be of their team and how much they have to look forward to as the franchise grows even more within the league. He then moves onto speaking about the pain filled, but yet tantalizing journey that the Capitals and their fans (Ian obviously included) have traversed to get to this moment.
He finishes speaking about how badly he wants that same journey for his Maple Leafs and by the end has probably made you cry and also convinced you that yes, the Toronto Maple Leafs and their fans really do need a Stanley Cup.
Steve also loves Ian (who really doesn’t though), and is the reason why we have this full video of Ian celebrating the Caps victory in his basement that Alan May loves very much. So, thanks for that Steve.
