Max Scherzer struck out twelve Orioles while watching the Caps game between innings

As the Nationals and the Orioles prepared to face each other in the third game of their series, both teams (aside from one particular player) were openly supporting the Capitals.

One lucky player, Max Scherzer, was able to catch bits and pieces of the game. Without having to bat in an American League game, Scherzer escaped to the dugout during the top of every inning to watch a few minutes of Game Two of the Stanley Cup Final.

“Best part of having a DH tonight is that I can stay in the Clubhouse and watch the Caps game while we hit!,” Scherzer said.

To make this more impressive, Scherzer threw 8 innings of 2 hit, no run baseball while also running into the clubhouse to check in on the local hockey team.

Mad Max has been spotted wearing his #ALLCAPS hat during Nationals batting practice and in postgame interviews.

Let’s keep the love coming! It’s working.
