Game Five ended in a Washington Capitals win. Celebrations are occurring all over the district, but in the Oshie household, there is a very special celebration since Papa TJ scored a goal.
After the overtime win, Lauren Oshie (a.k.a. “Mama”) got her adorable girls, Lyla and Leni, the ultimate victory food: McDonald’s.
Personally, McDonalds is the only way I know how to celebrate too, so I think I’m in excellent company.
First, the reaction to simply hearing “do you want to go to McDonalds?”

Lyla was just as excited as her little sister.
Then? That blessed feeling we ALL get when we finally get the opportunity to munch on those tasty french fries.
Next? The second wind. Suddenly all the bad nutrients rush to your head (I’m not a doctor, I don’t actually know how this works) and you become full of energy! Or, maybe it was just the adrenaline of an awesome game and having awesome french fries.
Finally, it’s time. You’re getting too much to handle and Mama wants to put you to sleep. So, she politely asks if you want to go to bed. Silly Mama. There are french fries to eat and dogs to play with!
God bless the Oshie girls. They are truly the spirit animals that we’ve always needed.
