On Tuesday, the Washington Capitals held their first full practice at Kettler Capitals Iceplex since the regular season ended.
TJ Oshie — who suffered a minor lower-body injury against the Carolina Hurricanes, and sat out two of the last three games of the regular season — returned to the ice, according to the Washington Post’s Isabelle Khurshudyan.
Practice isn’t for another 20 minutes, but Oshie is already on the ice. Missed two of the last three games for maintenance, but expect him to be fine for game one.

Oshie lined up on the Capitals second line with Andre Burakovsky and Nicklas Backstrom. (See the full lines.)
While on his way to Kettler on Monday, Oshie called in to Elliot In The Morning and gave an update on his progress, suggesting that he would be ready for Game One against Columbus. That was confirmed by Khurshudyan today.
“They just let me rest up a little,” Oshie said. “Everyone has some nagging things at this point in the season, and mine were worth letting rest. I feel good. I’m ready to jump back on the ice.”
Jay Beagle, who also did not participate in optional skate on Monday, was not on the ice for practice. It is likely that Beagle is further out from returning to the lineup.
No Jay Beagle out there. No Travis Boyd either. Means Chandler Stephenson is centering fourth line.

One encouraging update on Beagle’s progress is that he skated alone with Capitals assistant coach, Lane Lambert, following the team’s optional skate on Monday.

Travis Boyd, who is sick, was also out on Tuesday. Chandler Stephenson centered the fourth line.
