Gaten Matarazzo (Dustin Henderson) of Netflix’s Stranger Things has become one of the biggest breakout stars of the series. Friday, Gaten showed off another side of his talent: his singing.
The fifteen-year-old actor of Little Egg Harbor Township, New Jersey, sang the national anthem before the Rangers-Hurricanes game at Madison Square Garden. He slayed.
Wow.
That noise you hear is me pushing out the computer chair from under my desk and giving my iMac a standing ovation. That was tremendous.
According to Wikipedia, Gaten began his career on Broadway as Benjamin in Priscilla, Queen of the Desert, and as Gavroche in Les Misérables.

Gaten also received a warmup puck. He was very, very happy about this fact.

If you look closely, Gaten is missing teeth. The 15-year-old has rare disorder known as cleidocranial dysplasia.
“It’s a condition where you’re born without your collar bones — I don’t have any,” Matarazzo said on The Jonathan Ross show as transcribed by The Huffington Post. “It affects your facial growth, your skull growth… it affects your teeth… that’s why I don’t have any, these are fake, right here.”
Since becoming a household name across the country, Gaten has raised awareness and founded a nonprofit called CCD Smiles. The charity funds surgeries for people who suffer from the defect so they can have beautiful smiles.
This kid is literally perfect.
