A first look at the Caps’ Ice Resurfacer Gravy Boat

Judging by the insane amount of pageviews we’ve received, Capitals fans are in love with the team’s ridiculous Ice Resurfacer Gravy Boat giveaway. The ceramic gravy spiller, which boasts the team’s logo on the side, will be given to season-ticket holders and is being used as a gift for fans who buy a ticket package for the November 22 Capsgiving game against Ottawa.

On Wednesday, the Caps published video of the Zamboneboat in action. It’s the first time the team has posted a real-life iteration of the giveaway. We’ve only seen illustrations previously.

Watch as Caps Slapshot, a bird, covers his Thanksgiving dinner, which includes turkey (a bird), with gravy. The video is set to the soundtrack of Oh Yeah by Yello.

While I’m concerned that Slapshot might be a cannibal, the actual gravy boat looks fantastic and I need this in my life. Don’t let me down, eBay!

If you’re interested in getting one of the gravy boats yourself, you can buy one of the ticket packages here.
