Evgeny Kuznetsov drops puck at former KHL team’s home opener

A few days after Evgeny Kuznetsov showed playful disappointment on Instagram after Traktor Chelyabinsk’s first loss of the season, he is visiting his former KHL team.

Kuznetsov was the special guest for Traktor’s home opener against Avtomobilist Yekaterinburg. Kuznetsov wore a dark blue dress shirt and jeans – not the, uh, super hero (?) outfit from last Friday.

Kuznetsov was joined at the puck-drop ceremony by Traktor defenseman Alexander Shinin and Avtomobilist forward Alexei Mikhnov. Kuznetsov and Shinin were teammates on Traktor from 2010-13.

While Traktor took the lead early in the first period, they ended up losing 2-1. It was Traktor’s second loss of the season.

Only 21 more days until Kuznetsov is back on the ice in proper attire.
