Dmitry Orlov and his wife, Varvara Orlova got away from DC this week for an Italian vacation. According to social media, the couple started have visited Venice, Saint-Tropez, and Rome.
In Orlov’s post above, taken across the Grand Canal from the iconic Basilica di Santa Maria della Salute, you can see his cellphone case. On the case is the Russian double-headed eagle and the words “Krasnaya Mashina,” or “Red Machine,” the current branding initiative for the Russian National Hockey Team.
According to Orlov, the couple took a “little unplanned trip” to Saint-Tropez with some friends, which turned out “awesome.”
The couple’s next stop was, where Orlov apparently made a somewhat questionable headwear purchase. He was immediately teased by teammate Evgeny Kuznetsov.
“Bro, that hat is sick!” commented Kuznetsov.
Varvara also shared her own gallery of the trip on her Instagram page.
