Were you out with all your friends tonight instead of watching the Caps game? Did you record the game to watch later? Let us save you some time and make sure you fast-forward to the third period.
Saturday night in DC, the Capitals faced off against the Philadelphia Flyers for the final time this season. The Flyers are currently fighting for a playoff spot and are facing a very tough schedule for the rest of the year. Yikes.
There were scrums and penalties in the first period. There were also some penalties in the second period. Finally, the third period showed up and so did Sean Couturier and Dmitry Orlov. The game ended 1-1 in regulation.
Overtime happened and Nick Backstrom pulled through during a power play.
Caps beat Flyers 2-1!
