The Nashville Predators played the Calgary Flames Tuesday night and boy was it a weird game. Former Capitals prospect Filip Forsberg scored a hat trick on Flames goalie Brian Elliott. Forsberg scored on all three of his second period shots, which gave him his third career hatty. We can hear all of you groaning from here.
But the real news was who Forsberg accomplished this feat in front of: country-music legend Billy Ray Cyrus.
According to The Tennessean’s Adam Vingan, Cyrus and his fictitious band sang I Want My Mullet Back during the first intermission for a scene in a CMT sitcom.

And oh yeah, one more thing.
Billy Ray Cyrus is wearing a mullet wig. At least I think he is. You don't know with him. This is where I live.

Forsberg’s second-period hat trick gave the Predators a 5-4 lead going into the third period, but Nashville would not win.
Mikael Backlund tied the game mid-way through the third. 43 seconds into overtime, the Flames’ Mark Giordano scored the game-winning goal after banking a pass off Forsberg’s skates into the net.
Because of this unfortunate bounce, I’m guessing Forsberg went home with an Achy Breaky Heart.
2/23 update: Forsberg did it again. He’s scored hat tricks in consecutive games.
