After two back-to-back road games, the Capitals returned home on Sunday evening. Lauren and Lyla Oshie were enjoying the beautiful DC weather and playing in the front yard when TJ Oshie drove up.
Lyla was incredibly excited for “Papa” to return home, immediately running towards the car yelling “Papa!! Hiii! Hiii, Papa!”
TJ responded excitedly with a request, “Give me a hug!”
TJ later helps Lyla jump her hopscotch, but eventually gave up and just let her jump around even if she wasn’t in the proper squares.
Returning home after road games is definitely easier when you have excited family waiting. Daniel Winnik agrees.
