Caps vs. Canes pregame: Rock you like a hurricane

After a couple of weird afternoon games, the Washington Capitals will get back to their normal routine, hosting the Carolina Hurricanes tonight at 7pm. The Canes will be trying to extend their three-game winning streak with the NHL’s first star of the week, rookie forward Sebastian Aho. They have won nine-straight games at home and currently have a 21-5-1 record at the Verizon Center.

Team Record SA% PDO Power Play Penalty Kill
Washington Capitals 36-11-6 52.5% 103.8 20.6% 84.5%
Carolina Hurricanes 24-20-7 51.8% 98.8 17.1% 87.7%
