The Caps had a very famous guest sitting in the lower bowl of Verizon Center, Thursday night: George Washington, the first president of the United States. George was in the house to watch his home team take on the New Jersey Devils.

Okay, okay. It was a Caps fan dressed up as GW. During the first period, I spoke to him and snapped a picture.
His name is actually Jason. On December 29th of every year he and his friends celebrate “America day” where they all dress up as patriotic figures or founding fathers. They do it to raise money for charity. His friends are at the MGM National Harbor Resort & Casino, but he came to Verizon Center tonight because he had Caps tickets.
And that’s how the Caps finally got another president to come to a game.
2nd period underway. #CapsDevils is scoreless. Shout out to the OG D.C. Fan George Washington in the building tonight! #RockTheRed pic.twitter.com/UPw0taocti
