Thursday night, Kellogg’s Tour of Gymnastics Champions rolled through Verizon Center. Before the show, several of the most famous gymnasts in the world, Aly Raisman, Simone Biles, and Gabby Douglas, participated in a photo op while holding up several of Washington’s team jerseys.
Raisman, a big hockey fan, held up a Caps jersey with her last name and the number five stitched on the back. Rod Langway’s number was taken out of retirement in honor of Raisman being a member and captain of both the 2012 “Fierce Five” and 2016 “Final Five” US women’s Olympic gymnastics which won gold medals in their respective team competitions.

Meanwhile, Simone Biles repped the Wizards while Gabby Douglas rocked a Mystics jersey.
Raisman, who is a Needham, Massachusetts native, self-identifies as a Boston Bruins fan (she participated in a ceremonial puck drop in 2013). She’s also friends with Caps forward TJ Oshie.
Last November, Raisman got Lyla Oshie, TJ’s daugher, her first leotard.

Four years ago, Olympic gold medalist McKayla Maroney also rocked a Capitals hat during another Kellogg’s tour stop.
