Timothy Leif is making his first appearance back in St. Louis after the July trade that sent him to Washington and the Caps are playing in their last regular season road game. The Blues are a good hockey team as we were first hand witness to a few weeks ago in a 4-0 shutout at the Verizon Center. The same main storylines from the previous few games are still relevant tonight as Braden Holtby still looks to chase down Martin Brodeur for the single season wins record, Alex Ovechkin looks to hit 50 goals for the 7th time in his career and this is yet another game that will change nothing heading into the postseason. Just stay healthy.

The majority of RMNB is partying it up at RFD tonight, but don’t fret if you cant make it, because that just means you get to hang out with me!

The Gr8 one ties it up at 1, great feed from Carlson.

2nd tonight for Ovie, he wants that big round number.

CFTC: Another really bad first minute, but in the other 19 your Caps dominated the Blues. 26 5v5 shot attempts and 2 markers from your captain. That period is exactly what you want to see from the boys heading into next week. Great stuff, gotta keep it up for the next 40. 2-1 good guys after 1.

    Second Period

Another #RMNB9 update, you know these guys.

Best dressed competition at #RMNB9 is a blowout. Two-way tie between @tjyoshie77 and @Chris_Gordon. pic.twitter.com/h5V8OaRhV9

Fantastic feed from Tom Wilson and John Carlson finishes with a backhand to make it 3-1 Caps.

    Good looks @tom_wilso. #CapsBlues pic.twitter.com/dGPASGGKff

CFTC: John Carlson has looked great in the last few games. He looks healthy, which means only good things.

Evgeny Kuznetsov goes full Earvin “Magic” Johnson to feed Chimera to make it 4-1 Caps. ChimDawg’s 20th.

    Execution on point. #CapsBlues #RockTheRed pic.twitter.com/HNWVu5uE9W

CFTC: We are f-l-y-i-n-g tonight eh? I think this should settle some worries that you may have heading into the postseason. Carlson-Orpik have stood out to me, that pairing has been great. See you for the final 20 next.

    Third Period

#RMNB9 update #3: Ian finally made it and so did these two all the way from Newport!

Props to @Tconn1116 and @LaurenWaldrop for driving 2.5 hrs from Newport News to be here! You guys are crazy #RMNB9 pic.twitter.com/Me7wTncg5Z

The Caps have chased Brian Elliot from the cage.

Anders Nilsson now in net for the Blues, replacing Brian Elliott. #CapitalsTalk

Alex Ovechkin hits 50 goals for the 7th time in his career. 5-1 Caps.

    Here it is… #CapsBlues #RockTheRed pic.twitter.com/LwJRZuxcHl

    — Washington Capitals (@washcaps) April 10, 2016

CFTC: Wow what an effort to get Braden tied up with Marty and Ovechkin his 48th, 49th and 50th. That was a complete effort. Impressive. Whatever they did this morning, they need to do going forward.

    Final score: 5-1 Caps.
