We’ve been getting asked this through tweets and emails constantly and finally we have an answer. Friday morning, the Washington Capitals are putting a “limited number” of first-round playoff tickets up for sale to the public (though you may have to pay a premium). You can buy game one, game two, and game five (if necessary) tickets on Ticketmaster’s website at 11am.
Take it from me, playoff hockey is arguably the most exciting and debilitatingly nerve-racking experience in all of sports. Let’s keep the sell-out streak going and give our boys all the motivation and support they need to go deep in the postseason.
More from the Caps:
A limited number of individual game tickets for the first three home games of the Washington Capitals 2016 Playoffs presented by Boeing will go on sale to the public on Friday, April 1, at 11 a.m. Tickets are available by calling 1-800-745-3000, on WashingtonCaps.com, at Kettler Capitals Iceplex and at all Ticketmaster outlets, including the Verizon Center box office.
Game dates, times and opponents will be announced by the NHL at a later date and information on tickets for future home games will be made available as games are confirmed.
The Capitals have recorded 308 consecutive sellouts at Verizon Center dating back to 2008-09 (including playoffs).
Additional all-inclusive ticket packages are available in the Capitals Rinkside Club, the Budweiser Brew House and the Draft Ops Fantasy Lounge.
Washington Capitals fans are encouraged to make their ticket purchases directly from the team. Only tickets purchased through the team are guaranteed to be valid. Fans can purchase their tickets through any Ticketmaster sales channel listed above and also through NHL Ticket Exchange. NHL Ticket Exchange is the only guaranteed secondary ticket reseller, and all tickets purchased on NHL Ticket Exchange are verified by Ticketmaster.
